Feature Interview: Dr. Will Tuttle of The World Peace Diet

Dr. Will Tuttle is a vegan of thirty years and author of the critically acclaimed World Peace Diet, published in 2005. This book, which delves into the benefits of vegan diets, uncovers the interconnectedness of our food choices and how they influence the state of our society.

Tuttle is a former Zen monk who practiced at a monastery in Korea during the mid-1980s. He received his PhD in Education from UC-Berkeley and currently works as a writer, musician, artist and teacher. Tuttle travels the country with his wife Madeleine teaching others about the virtues of his “plant-based organic whole foods diet.” Vegan Mainstream recently had the chance to talk to Dr. Tuttle about his book, and his philosophy. Even with the growing popularity and performance of social media channels, too many marketing plans leave out a critical marketing element: the blog.

Why?

A blog can be tedious to maintain. Keeping a blog up-to-date means posting useful content on a regular basis, which takes time away from other areas of running a business. It’s true that a blog’s return on investment may take longer to be realized, but in establishing blogs for their brands, vegan businesses can reap significant benefits in the long run. (more…)
