We are talking vegan labels this week at VM, and I am going go the literal route and use this theme as an excuse to talk about vegan fashion labels. I do a lot of online shopping, because it’s easier to find great cruelty-free clothing from my computer screen—plus, I am super lazy and enjoy shopping in my pajamas. Since I am normally on a budget, I love great affordable sites like Alternative Outfitters and Lulus—where I get most of my vegan footwear. However, there is nothing wrong with drooling over high-end vegan fashion sites, and the following are my favorite cruelty-free clothing lines that make me want to stop spending all my fun-money on kitchen equipment:
1. Vaute Couture. This company—which has been featured in VegNews, Teen Vogue and more—makes amazing cruelty-free winter coats that are as compassionate as they are cozy and stylish. They make men’s coats, too!
2. Ecoskin. I love this collection of slinky dresses just as much as I love the fact that they only use environmentally sustainable fabrics woven, dyed and sewn in the USA.
3. Olsenhaus. Warning: if you have a weakness for shoes do not visit this site, or you will find yourself forking over a month’s worth of grocery money for a pair of faux suede ankle boots. Not like I did that or anything…
4. Imposter. Normally, I am not such a big fan of faux fur, but this line was created in partnership with Farm Sanctuary and benefits the Humane Society. Nothin’ fake about that!
5. Neuaura. I really do have a shoe fetish, and the fact that this company chooses two charities each season to donate a percentage of their net profits to makes it even harder to resist them.
6. Dalia Macphee. Vegan evening gowns? Yes please!
What about you? What are your favorite top-shelf vegan clothing companies? I want to know!
