Midwest Vegan Radio: So you think you can vegan parent? [podcast]

With all the talk about raising vegan kids (Anyone else appalled by the totally anti-vegan slant to this latest Today Show segment?) all around us these days, we thought we’d spend a little time chatting with some of the experts. In this interview, Ryan and Dallas interview Al Nowatski, stay-at-home vegan dad, blogger of This Little Piggy Had Tofu, co-organizer of Vegkins in Minnesota, and was a member of the Council of Vegan Parents when the council was active (though all of the archived posts are still up, TCOVP is not currently posting). We also pick the (very smart!) brain of his daughter Anna, who is an expert on being vegan since birth and what it’s like to be vegan at 5 years old. And as kids often do, she blows our minds and swells our hearts with her simple and direct insights into being vegan in a non-vegan world.

After this profound conversation, the crew and guests review Quorn Vegan Burgers, discuss how to green your trash a little bit with biodegradable trash liners like BioBags, and wrap it up with shout outs.

Take Action Towards Veganism

When I made brunch this past weekend, I made one of my favorites – a vegan spanish potato omelet from Bryanna Clark Grogan. It is served with a delicious Romesco sauce, which is a lovely red color. But what I was missing was some green…so I headed to the crisper and found…broccoli. Broccoli for breakfast? Take Action Now ()
