Look at the labels on your beauty/hygiene products today and figure out which ones you need to find vegan versions for next time you buy.
There are animal products in a surprising number of beauty and hygiene items, and it may seem overwhelming at first, but here are a couple of resources and tips that will make your compassionate consuming easier!

1) Look for the Leaping Bunny.
The Leaping Bunny Program is an initiative of the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC). According to their website, “The CCIC promotes a single comprehensive standard and an internationally recognized Leaping Bunny Logo. We are working with companies to help make shopping for animal-friendly products easier and more trustworthy.” So if you see this symbol, you know that the product is not only vegan, but has also never been tested on animals, and is completely cruelty-free in every way.
2) Check out PETA’s Cruelty-Free Company guide ; on this page you can search by company or product, and you can order a cruelty-free shopping guide; here you can find a list of animal ingredients that may be in your beauty/hygiene products.
Happy, harmless shopping!
